CONOTHERAPY
WHAT IS THE CONOTHERAPY PROCEDURE? (Ear Coning or Ear Candling)
Conotherapy is a procedure that is gaining more and more popularity every day at My Cosmetic Surgery. This treatment uses aromatherapy wax cones that are placed inside the ears and help detox and clean the ears, nose, throat, and sinuses.
This technique also helps to descale, drain substances and extract microorganisms from the auditory cavities, which will help to restore the tension of the eardrum, thus improving hearing.
WHO CAN PERFORM THE CONOTHERAPY PROCEDURE?
This procedure can be carried out on patients who want better ear hygiene without any risk.
There are people who, due to their daily activities, may require this cleaning more frequently, such as those who use hearing aids, smokers, and people who work in contaminated or dusty environments.
Thermo auricular therapy is a safe and relaxing technique, as long as the treatment is not used excessively or is carried out incorrectly, that is why at My Cosmetic Surgery our specialists have vast experience in Conotherapy.
WHAT RESULTS CAN I EXPECT?
This technique is not only used for cleaning the ears, but it is also effective in detoxifying and cleaning fungi and earwax, it also serves to correct paranasal and throat problems and for maintenance in the inner ear.
Conotherapy stands out for combating constant respiratory ailments with abundant phlegm and mucus, acute flu-like processes, and pressure problems inside the ears.
After this technique, the patient should experience sharpened hearing, taste, smell, and color perception.
Another of its benefits is the reduction of vertigo and dizziness as well as headaches and migraines related to sinusitis.
CONOTHERAPY | TECHNIQUE, AND PROTOCOL
This therapy consists of introducing a cone of hollow wax in the ear canal, at a depth no greater than two centimeters, which when ignited produces smoke and heat, detoxifying and cleaning the ear, throat, nose, and paranasal sinuses.
The heat produced will be directed to the inside of the ear, this will help to melt or soften the wax and will strengthen the blood supply in the area.
On the other hand, the hot air that is generated in the upper part of the cone creates a chimney effect that sucks in the base of the cone, it is at this time where the ear canal of wax and embedded bacteria in the area is cleaned.
